DOWNTOWN KIRKWOOD CLEAN UP REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Kirkwood Business Owners’ Association, KBOA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promote growth, stability and profitability of the Kirkwood Business Districts, is seeking a landscape company or person to maintain cleanliness of the public spaces of the central business district from January 1, 2021-December 31, 2021.
Scope: Hosea L. Williams Drive NE between Saunders St NE and Norwood Ave NE with one block of Oakview and one block on Howard St NE and Howard Street SE.
Both sides of the street
Focus on storefront space
Sidewalk
Street curbside
Triangle at Hosea and Oakview
Types of Clean Up:
Trash pick up with focus on cigarette butts
Regular maintenance including:
Gathering leaves in Fall
Use of string trimmers on weeds
Hand pulling of weeds in triangle garden
Mulching of triangle garden twice a year- Spring and Fall after weeding
Spraying of weeds around light polls and other medians with biodegradable environmental friendly product
Sweeping or blowing of sidewalks during non-business hours.
Please be mindful of impact on our businesses.
Frequency:
Once a month unless advised otherwise based on seasonal needs and special events

Notice the new signs on Hosea L. Williams Drive? 25MPH is the speed limit through the commercial district now thanks to Council Member Natalyn Archibong and Atlanta Bicycle Coalition for pushing for safer streets for all.
The reduced speed to 25MPH on Hosea L. Williams Drive NE between Moreland Ave and Candler Road is in effect.
