• 2017 Start: ME cohort:  Looking to start or grow your business in East Lake and neighboring Kirkwood? Start:ME is a free, intensive 14 week business accelerator for micro-entrepreneurs (businesses with 1-4 employees) running from January through May of 2017 that provides the business training, mentorship support and loan fund capital needed to develop small businesses.  The program is delivered by Emory University’s Goizueta Business and the The East Lake Foundation in partnership with PNC Bank, Drew Charter School, East Lake Neighborhood Community Association (ELNCA) and Kirkwood Neighbors’ Organization (KNO).  In addition to entrepreneurs, Start:ME is recruiting business leaders to serve as volunteer mentors for participating businesses.  Applications for the 2017 program open on October 1 and close on November 15th.  For more information on the program including upcoming information sessions, please visit www.startmeaccelerator.org  or contact the East Lake Program Coordinator Joi Jackson (jjackson@eastlakefoundation.org or 404-974-4507).
